Patron: Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria
Founded in 1899, the third oldest rose society in the world.
The purpose of the society is to foster an appreciation of the rose by encouraging its promotion, cultivation and exhibition.
Victoria is proud to be home to three WFRS Gardens of Excellence, namely the Victoria State Rose Garden at Werribee, The Morwell Centenary Rose Garden and the Mornington Botanical Rose Gardens.
Victoria is also home to The Alister Clark Memorial Rose Garden in Bulla.
Alister Clark was a foundation member of The National Rose Society of Victoria.
In person meetings are held February to May and August to December on the second Tuesday of the month in the Craft Room at the Mount Waverley Community Centre, Corner Stephensons Road and Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley.
